Welcome!

Welcome to the University of Alberta Campus NDs! We are looking forward to a bright new year of studies, friends, fun, and - of course - politics. This year promises to be an exciting year, with the prospect of a federal election during the academic year. It also appears to be a challenging year, as Tory governments at all levels are ignoring students, sidelining any environmental initiatives, and letting medicare slip into oblivion.

But, enough doom and gloom, before we worry about elections and all the, well, rather depressing news out of Ottawa and the Alberta legislature, it is time to have fun! After all, there's no party like a New Democratic Party.

Socials occur every second Wednesday of the month at Dewey's on Campus, in the upstairs space, from 6-8 PM.

Also, if you are more interested in the inner workings of the New Democratic Youth of Alberta, Convention 2008 is happening on the UofA Campus. The original date of September 20 has been postponed due to the Federal Election and a new date will be confirmed shortly.
